I am going to keep posting about this until we get to 100,000 signatures.

Yes, it's another one of these damned post from that obsessed woman, I am sorry.

As I write there are 89,316 signatures. The linear trend line of signatures from Tuesday 31 January gives an equation of
y = 861.45x + 82873.
That means the date for hitting 100,000 votes has drifted out by another day to Saturday 18 February. I know we can do better than this. The last we thing we want is the petition to remove LGBT content from the curriculum to be debated and our opinion not to be heard.

Please sign if you are in the UK and please boost if you are not.

Striking university staff have met up with striking teachers in the city centre. The teachers have better musicians and banners than us! #ucurising

I'm striking today as part of #UCURising because our pensions have been unfairly cut, pay hasn't kept up with inflation, and to fight casualisation and discrimination.
My wife is also on strike as an #NEU teacher.
And solidarity with the nurses, train drivers, posties, amazon workers(!) and everyone else currently in dispute.

This isn't OK!

I'm laughing as I think of the tories coming into power in 2010 talking about Broken Britain. I didn't realise it was an ambition rather than a complaint!

Regretfully, the petition to remove #LGBT content from the #UK curriculum has 197,100 signatures.

The counter petition asking for that content to remain, is rapidly gaining ground. It now has 78,919 signatures!

Consumer Reports (CR) has released a mobile app (iOS, Android on the way) that shows what data companies collect about you, then allows you to have CR get the data deleted:

Essentially, CR will act as the data ombudsman for anyone who asks them to. I love it.

CR is a non-profit that accepts no advertising or corporate sponsorship, and they have a great reputation. It's a superb choice to take on the data capitalists.
